Year 2006
Hi ronny—
I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say that
absolutely everything about that trip was excellent! The guides,
Luka, Michael and Liza, the accomodations and the food were all
better than we ever imagined! I will send a longer, more formal
when I get caught up at work! We also took some fabulous pics of
all of the lodges/tented camps, guides etc that I will mail to you
on CD!
Thanks for all of your help!

Hi Ronny,
Just wanted to say thanks so much for everything
while we were in
Tanzania. We had a great trip and would definitely recommend Tanzania
Adventure to others.
Take Care,
Adam & Maria Glickmann (26.1.06)
----------------------
Ronny,
Now that we've been home for a few days, are nearly over our trip
fatigue and jetlag, and have made one pass through our 700+ photos
(!), we wanted to tell you how awesome the entire experience was,
due as much to your incredible staff as to the natural wonders and
beauty of your country.
Kilimanjaro was more than we ever expected in terms of both its
size and beauty and the sheer pleasure of the camping experience.
I dreaded five nights of camping, but it was "hachuna matata,"
thanks to the very comfortable tent and, especially the excellent
cooking by our chef, Obedi Makara, and the attentive service of
our waiter/porter, Paulo. The food was great, and the dish of hot
water and bar of soap before breakfast and dinner were a real treat!
Of course, we owe most of our success (Linda to the summit, me to
4700+ meters) to our fantastic guide, John Nnko. What an amazing
person to do what he does, and with such good spirits. He did his
best to get me to the summit, too, but I knew when I awoke at 2300
hours that it was going to be tough. It was the first morning I
hadn't felt well, and the first hour of hiking was all my lungs
could handle. I just didn't have a good day, whereas I had felt
very strong from Barranco to Barafu. Too bad, because Linda's photos
at the top are fantastic! But, I'm just happy to have had the experience
and to have seen as much of the mountain as I did. In fact, I feel
worse for Paulo not being able to summit, since he had to go back
down with me, than I do for my own failure.
Anyway, John was great, and we especially enjoyed having him join
us for the meals -- an unexpected treat. His English is great--as
is Obedi's--making the experience easier than we had thought it
might be. Being biologists, we especially appreciated John's knowledge
of the flora and fauna of the mountain.
Also amazing were the porters. What athletes! We'll never forget
a point on the trail from Shira to Barranco, when we were passed
by Paulo and Benjamen, walking fast and singing, with our duffels
on their heads -- all smiles, while we were doing that "pole,
pole" tourist walk and maybe looking a little grim.
In looking around at the other groups camping and hiking on the
mountain at the same time has convinced us that we had by far the
best staff, food, tent locations, and overall experience.
Also exceeding all expectations was the safari. We couldn't have
had a better week. Everest was amazing in his skill at spotting
wildlife and his knowledge of the obscure roads of the parks. We
especially appreciated his knowledge of birds, which we enjoy watching.
We feel that most of the safari vehicles, which passed by everything
but the large mammals, missed much of what was to be seen. We also
enjoyed having him join us for dinner at the two lodges where it
was permitted. We learned much from him--about Tanzania and its
people as well as its wildlife--and never grew tired of our time
in the vehicle. Our only regret is that we didn't book an additional
day at Serengeti. So much to see!
All of the lodges were great--especially E Unoto and the Serengeti
Sopa. Great food, and more than satisfactory rooms (E Unoto was
one of the best lodges we've ever experienced--awesome!). All of
the staff at all of the lodges were great: very friendly and helpful,
and with surprisingly good English.
Finally, thanks to you and your office staff for the great job you
did of pulling things together for us--including last minute changes
to save us money at the lodges. From Gibson's meeting us as the
airport, when we were tired and bewildered newcomers, to Everest's
gracious additional work to get us to the airport early, it was
the trip of a lifetime.
We hope to return to Africa someday and see some of the other parks.
I don't plan to try Kili again--too great a chance the result would
be the same--but Linda might have her eyes set on Mount Meru! If
so, please be assured that we will turn to you. We speak highly
of your company whenever we get the chance.
Thank you again for everything! Please pass our thanks and warm
feelings on to John, Obedi, Everest, and the others. We'll never
forget them.
P.S. Our porters were Paulo, Benjameni, Loidi, Godueli, Meshaki,
Godifrei, and Braison.

Hallo Frau Wiedermann,

Dear Ronny,
Although we are back for some time and when we
look at our pictures we
can not believe it was us and not National Geographic on a TV, we
are
very thankfull to you and your company - that was one of the best
holidays in our life.
Looking forward to the next opportunity to visit
you.

Dear Ronny,
Just to say what a terrific holiday we had in Tanzania and Zanzibar.
Everyone at Tanzania Adventure looked after us very well and it
was a real adventure not only for the children but also us adults.
We were very pleased with all the arrangements, the internal flights,
transfers and hotels and a Tanzania Adventure person was always
there when they were supposed to be-not only one but often 2 and
even 3 people!
We shall remember Tanzania and Zanzibar and its couteous and friendly
people for a long time. Manase was very patient with us!
Perhaps we set a record-a Safari of 5 days wearing the same totally
unsuitable clothes-in my case a black silk skirt, torquoise silk
blouse and wedge heeled sandals. Boy was that hot water bottle welcome
at Ngorongoro!
British Airways let us down again on our return journey as there
was a 2 hour delay and we missed our internal flight connection
so had to stay overnight in London before we got home a day late.
But they did reorganise things as well as could be expected.
We shall recommend you to anyone we know thinking of a trip to Tanzania.
Thanks again.

Dear Ronny,
We wish to thank You and Tanzania Adventure for most unforgettable
safari tour the company arranged for us.
I highly recommend Tanzania Adventure for the outstanding manor
in which we were treated and for supplying us with a superb tour
guide and driver. Everest went out of his way to provide us with
landscape scenes and positions to shoot footage of animals in the
best possible way. His knowledge of the places we were shown was
so interesting and he was not shy to share answers to any of our
questions.
We can without a doubt say that we will not hesitate for one minute
to recommend Tanzania Adventures to friends and family.
Thanking you kindly

Dear Corina,
First of all: THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!
It has been wonderful: the safari, the lodges (especially the ones
in Lake Manyara and Tarangire, this last one for me was really exceptional!!)
and last but not least the guides!!
Peter was the driving guide, he told me he is the first driver in
Tanzania Safari and also told me he knows you very well.
Honek, the Italian speaking Masai guide for my friend Andrea, was
such a sweet person. We will both remember and keep them in our
hearts because they were so nice, friendly, helpful and great companionship!
Infact we will keep in tought with them...!
Best regards

Hello Gibson
It is Richard Stephen here from Scotland, I am
e-mailing you firstly, to thank you from Sarah & myself for
a great holiday & honeymoon.
We had a great Safari, the Maasai village was our
favourite accommodation, however the tents in Serengeti were also
spectacular & we both summated Kili with a fantastic guide,
cook & porters.
Thank you for the hotel once we got back from Zanzibar,
it was much appreciated.
We look back at our photos of the whole holiday
with so many happy memories & laugh at the Kili tent. Thank
you for making it all a good experience.
Please pass our kind regards & praise onto
the whole team in Arusha.
Secondly, I have a work friend, Bruce Barrow, who
will e-mail you soon for a trip in Tanzania.
I have gave him your contact details, I told him
all about our holiday & your business & set-up, he is not
going through any other agent so please give him a good price.
I have another two couples who are very interested
for next year July/August time I believe, again they have your details
so they will arrange through you. Any other people I know I will
send them your way also. If you have any questions on these trips
please do not hesitate to e-mail me.
I should become your travel representative here
in Scotland, Ha ha!!
I hope you are keeping well & business is very
good for you with lots of tourists.
Best regards, Richard Stephen (14.9.06)

Dear Ronny,
Myself and Edel wanted to let you know how happy
we were with the service provided to us by Tanzania Adventure.
All the administration was extremely efficient
and your patience with us trying to decide exactly what we wanted
to do was exemplary.
Wilson was a fantastic guide and an excellent driver
– he made us feel at ease from the very beginning –
and his knowledge of the parks and animals was amazing.
All of the accommodation was of the highest standard
– and our awkward vegetarian diet was always catered for.
We will be recommending you guys to any of our
friends considering a trip to Tanzania/Zanzibar.
Thanks for a wonderful trip.
Best regards
Morgan and Edel (23.9.)

Dear Corina and Lucas,
Your driver Lucas has made such a good impression
on our son that he just
now said "Lucas now?"
As answer to our question where is Lucas, he replied "Tanzania"
No greater compliment possible we think!
Many greetings,
Nico, Mage and Olivier Lowie (3.10.)

Ronny,
We just returned from our safari in Tanzania. I'm writing some feedback
for you. You'll be pleased to know that we were very happy with
our holiday and had no problems. Our driver/guide Peter was really
very good - a nice man with sense of humour. He was knowledgeable
concerning wildlife and culture and was sensitive to our needs during
the trip. We are really happy to have met him. Accommodation as
follows:
Arusha mountain village - very good.
Tarangire Treetops - really excellent, our favourite lodge.
E Unoto Retreat - excellent. very special place.
Ngorogoro Serena - ok but nothing special.
Ngorongoro Farmhouse - excellent, really nice setting with good
food.
Ngorogoro Sopa - nice location but nothing special
... in fact the Serena/Sopa (which I was insisting on) were the
least interesting places to stay - lots of tourists in large groups.
I recommend the other places much more highly, especiall Tarangire
Treetops and E Unoto. The farmhouse was also a great choice and
we'd have preferred to stay there than the Serena/Sopa if we'd known
in advance how nice it is.
We were impressed by the people of Tanzania and enjoyed the game
drives. We liked Tarangire the best because it's a large park and
we liked Ngorogoro Crater the least because it feels like a zoo
(although we saw the greatest variety of animals there). The trip
to Empakai Crater was also a good choice (long journey there from
the farmhouse) - and we enjoyed the walking after several days in
the car.
Thanks for organizing this special trip for us.
Regards,
Steve Green & Annette Bulant (17.10.06)

Hi Ronny and everyone,
I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to write (its
been over a month since we got back now - scary!), but I wanted
to say thank you to everyone at Tanzania Adventure for making our
trip such a success. Both Stuart and I agreed that the trip couldn't
have gone better, from summiting Kili, catching all the Big 5 on
safari (and the rest), and diving in Zanzibar it was a fantastic
experience, and I can't stop looking at all the pictures! I'm currently
in the process of writing up a trip report, so I will forward the
link through to you once its complete. I think a few years down
the line we'll be back for more, and quite a few friends have expressed
an interest since hearing about our trip. Once again - many, many
thanks to you and your team, they really made a difference on the
trip.
Thanks again,
Bryn & Stuart (17.11.06)

Hi Ronny,
We've already talked with Xavier and Sandra and
they're really happy with
the entire trip in general, especially with the car and the driver/guide.
They've told us that the activities were really good and interesting
and
food delicious. The only thing they didn't like so much were the
camp sites
in lake Natron and Eyasi but all in all, they weren't bad.
So, we write to thank you for the great treatment
and tell you that we hope
to be able to work together again.
Thanks again,
Raul (13.11.06)

Hallo Corina !

Dear Ronny,
after our unforgettable holiday in Africa, we are finally back home.
We would like to thank you for the perfect organization of our trip.
Our safari was wonderful, Otis was great with us... everything was
fine, except the POOR lunch boxes we used to get from the lodges!!!
We know it is not your fault at all.... but try (together with the
other safari companies) to get this service improved: it is worth
for
you all!
Thanks once again for our beautiful Tanzanian experience. We miss
Africa already...
Greetings from all of us

Tanzania Adventures,
I just wanted to drop you a note of thanks after our recent safari
that your company set up for us. The three families that traveled
on your tour had the greatest time of our lives and the professional
guide service that we experienced with Bill and Sam was more that
we could have asked for. Every one of us will remember the animals,
the people and places we saw and will whole heartedly recommend
your company as well as Bill and Sam for guiding to everyone in
Egypt that asks for recommendations for travel trips.
We look forward to our return and another trip in the future, this
time in the dry season with camping as an added adventure.
