Of all the options available for your visit to Africa, the traditional tented camp safari is by far the best choice for the adventurous traveler. There is nothing to compare with being in your own camp in a beautiful setting with the sights and sounds of nature close at hand. You have come to Africa to see the wildlife, enjoy the beautiful landscapes, and be as close to the rhythm of nature as possible, and the tented camp provides the perfect way to do that.

There is nothing quite like coming back to camp in the evening after an exhilarating day on safari. A perfect hot shower is ready for you in your tent, and your clothes have been freshly laundered. Coming out to a crackling campfire and sitting down with your favorite drink, the stars blaze overhead and maybe somewhere out in the dark, a lion roars. It is at moments like these that the magic of Africa steals into your soul and changes you forever.

Our 10 x 13 x 7 ft. tents have private bathrooms with flush toilets, wash basins, and hot bucket showers. You can choose between two twin beds or one king size bed.

The entire tent is netted, so that, even though there are almost no insects around, they are insect-proof. Furthermore each bed has its own mosquito net. Lighting is by kerosene lamps and solar energy.

The dining tent is complete with candlelight, glasses, and a bar with beer and wine. Fresh bread is baked every day and soups are made from scratch with homemade stock. Supplies of fresh fruits and vegetables are available. Menus can be custom-designed around your favorites. South African Wines are available, as are sodas, soft drinks, beer and some liquor, and are personally selected to compliment meals.
