This luxury tented camp in Mikumi National Park is
operated by the Fox family and brings together there 40 years of experience
in the Tanzanian tourism industry. The camp is attractively set on
a granite outcrop overlooking the Mwanambogo waterhole and Mkapa floodplain
in a good wildlife-viewing area in Mikumi’s
far north.
The Safari Camp is the most intimate lodge
in Mikumi, with only 8 large, thatched custom-built tents. The tents
all have two double beds and are ensuite. Each tent is hidden
amongst the kopjes (granite boulders) and the main dining
boma and bar area is on the kopje-top.
We feel this is the only camp in the park
which offers a true bush experience. Being 14 km from the main road
traffic noise is not a problem like at some of the other camps in
Mikumi and game viewing is of a high standard.
