The rooms are
large, stunning, thatch and wood constructions spaced out on the
9km perfect, white-sandy beach. The lounge is spacious
and filled with books and games. Travelling between the rooms and
other areas is by nature trails through the indigenous forest.
As the name
suggests its very easy to be lazy here and spend your days either
by the large swimming pool or on the beach, swimming
and snorkelling. For the more adventurous kayaking around
the lagoon is offered as well as dhow sunset cruises and
tours to Bagamoyo.
Bagamoyo
town is historically important as it was once the terminus
of the great trade caravans bringing gold, goods and slaves out
of the African interior. As a response to the setting up of a shelter
for free slaves; the port became an entry and exit point
for missionaries and explorers including David Livingstone.
Lazy
Lagoon has a lot to offer guests who are willing to travel the distance
from Dar, we do however recommend a minimum 4 night stay here.
