The Zanzibar Coffee House is located in the windling
streets of the old town of Zanzibar, Stonetown. Construceted in
1885 by Sir Tharia Topan, Wazir to Sultan Said Bargash, this house
was one of the first buildings in Stonetown. Now
owned by the Zanzibar Coffee Company Ltd., it is modified to a stylish
hotel, remembering the 'old times' of the history rich
island of Zanzibar.
Zanzibar Coffee House offers 10 individually
furnished and air-conditioned rooms to
guests who seek the unique experience of staying in an authentic
Arab House. All rooms are individually furnished, with original
Zanzibari antique Arab tables, four poster beds with mosquito nets,
rare lamps, all creating a comfortable and cosy atmosphere.
The Zanzibar Coffeehouse is ideal for the
individual traveller seeking an unusual place to stay but
the house can also accommodate families, for instance
in the Bourbon Family Suite.
The towertop tea house overlooks
Stonetown with its minarettes, mosques, and is a perfect place to
end your day with a sundowner...
